Africa is learns about Comenius University
Bratislava, 20 May 2025 – Comenius University Bratislava (CU) continued its international promotion efforts, with representatives recently heading to North Africa. Their activities culminated in early May when they participated in higher education fairs in Morocco and Tunisia.
From 1 to 6 May 2025, CU toured North Africa, taking part in the international a2 Fairs in the cities of Tunis, Rabat, Casablanca and Marrakesh. Nearly 6,000 prospective students visited the events.
Representatives of the university and its faculties presented the University’s portfolio of English-language study programmes. IT and management programmes attracted the greatest interest, but there was also demand for psychology, medicine and natural sciences – particularly biology and chemistry.
Applicants frequently asked about the admissions process, conditions for acceptance, and required documents. Visitors included students of all ages, from first-year to final-year secondary school students. Many were already actively considering studying abroad, and some had even taken concrete preparatory steps. For CU, this was a valuable opportunity to present study in Bratislava as an accessible and high-quality alternative.
Prospective international students can stay in touch with the University even after the fairs, communicating with the CU Infocentre via email at infocentrumuniba.sk or through WhatsApp at +421 905 982 835. Dozens of students from Africa and the Indian subcontinent have already used these contact options.
CU’s participation in the fairs was financially supported by the Slovak Recovery and Resilience Plan under the call “Support for projects promoting higher education institutions abroad.”
